Decode Chaos

project overview
While exploring expressive typography, I experimented with shaping words visually, like turning “maze” into a maze or giving “cool” a fluid, relaxed form. During this process, I hit a creative block, and that feeling of uncertainty itself became the concept: designing “confusion” as typography. The idea transforms readability into an experience rather than just a function, using distorted and fluid letterforms that blur the boundary between text and pattern, encouraging viewers to pause, decode, and question what they see. This intentional disruption reflects the layered and nonlinear nature of confusion while communicating emotion through visual chaos instead of clarity. The concept was finally translated into a cold drink can packaging design, where the warped typography wraps dynamically around the can to create an energetic, immersive, and unconventional visual identity, making the act of reading an essential part of the overall experience.
